About You
While experience is important, the people behind this search place significant emphasis on securing the right person to work alongside their clients and existing team members. You will of course be technically able and see your future working in private practice employment law. Solid involvement in areas of practice befitting of your PQE will also be looked for, but we will equally be happy to develop our new colleague in more unfamiliar areas as needed.
What is key, is a friendly, collaborative individual, with the personality and skills to get stuck into the role from the start, help supervise and develop the more junior members of the team, and become a trusted ally of both your immediate teammates and the wider firm. Someone who is keen to take on new levels of responsibility and grasp development opportunities when they are offered to them, will be a great fit for this team.

The Role
Sat within our wider Business Services Team, our employment department boasts one of the largest employment teams in the local area which means your colleagues will include one partner, two senior associates, one associate and two solicitors. Your day-to-day work will involve a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, acting predominantly for businesses, but also for private individuals on the full spectrum of employment law matters.
When you are not advising clients, you will be playing an active part in the team’s business development activities, including presenting at seminars, hosting training workshops, networking events, and writing articles for our monthly E-Bulletin.
