Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Lateral/Experienced Associate to join its Casualty and Mass Tort Litigation Practice Group in Baton Rouge, LA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and a commitment to providing exceptional legal services.

Duties

• Collaborate with partners on all phases of litigation, including investigations, case reporting, and trial preparation.
• Independently manage a caseload from inception to resolution.
• Conduct depositions and handle court appearances regularly.
• Lead client communications and provide meaningful updates.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of general litigation experience.
• Extensive experience in depositions, motion writing, and discovery.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to interact directly with clients and develop client relationships.
• Must be in good standing with the LA and TX State Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Texas.
