Job Overview

A highly regarded law firm in New York City is seeking a mid-level Finance Associate Attorney specializing in borrower-side finance. The role focuses on private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance within a dynamic and expanding team.

Duties

• Represent borrowers in private credit and acquisition finance transactions.
• Advise on leveraged finance deals, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and transactional requirements.
• Collaborate with legal and financial professionals to structure complex financial transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents, including credit agreements and related contracts.
• Guide sponsor-side private equity acquisition financing when applicable.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic solutions to clients’ financing challenges.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
• Demonstrated experience handling sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings is highly desirable.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in New York or eligibility for admission.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for reciprocity).
