Legal Talent & CLE Coordinator
The candidate will support the firm’s efforts to recruit, retain, and train attorneys as well as maintaining records related to and assisting with Continuing Legal Education programs required for attorneys’ licensure. Work with the Director of Legal Talent & Diversity on attorney recruitment, retention, training and development of programs. Coordinate trainings with other departments (e.g. Business Development, Information Resources, etc.) and committees (Hiring, Associates’ and Diversity & Inclusion Committees). Provide basic hiring, training and diversity initiatives updates. Maintain and update training charts and calendars. Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and provide on-site support. Attend recruiting and retention events and build relationships with recruits and current employees. Communicate with related external vendors when necessary and in consultation with the Director of Legal Talent & Diversity. Assist with tracking and managing data for Mansfield Certification. Conduct research and stay informed of trends in the legal industry. Plan, organize and implement special projects as needed or as determined by the Director of Legal Talent & Diversity. Administer all in-house Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and, as the occasion arises, non-CLE professional development training events firm-wide (i.e. conference room bookings, audio visual requirements, speaker confirmation, if required, logistics, materials, etc.). Submit CLE applications for approval, verify and submit attendance and issue CLE certificates for all firm-sponsored CLE events. Assist with promotion of CLE subscription services and in-house CLE programs. Develop and maintain a working knowledge base of CLE requirements in states where firm attorneys are registered. Maintain all attorney CLE credits in the CLE tracking database, and support attorneys in obtaining required hours, including locating and registering for online seminars; distributing status reports; and responding to inquiries. Maintain CLE program files. Manage PLI and WestLegalEd Center subscription rosters. Assist with summer associate and fall associate orientation training. Assist with in-house seminars for paralegals, legal assistants, and attorneys. Other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree is required.
