Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm located in San Francisco, CA, is expanding its litigation team and seeking a driven associate attorney with 1 to 5 years of post-bar experience. This opportunity offers exposure to a wide range of litigation matters across diverse practice areas such as business disputes, employment law, general liability, appellate matters, and construction-related cases. Duties:

• Manage and support a broad range of civil litigation matters from inception to resolution

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda

• Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials as needed

• Engage with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to advance litigation strategies

• Collaborate with legal teams across practice groups to provide well-rounded client service

• Support senior attorneys and contribute to trial preparation and case evaluations

• Demonstrate initiative and leadership within team environments and firm projects

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-5 years of experience practicing litigation in California

• Admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing

• Proven ability to handle discovery, legal research, and motion practice independently

• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and teamwork

• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills

• Willingness to engage in firm initiatives and contribute to a culture of inclusion and respect

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy

• Proficiency with litigation management tools and case tracking systems
