A law firm seeks a full-time Attorney for the Land Use & Zoning department in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in zoning and land use entitlements, with strong skills in relationship-building and persuasive communication. This role requires a client-focused approach and the ability to present complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.

Duties

• Conduct zoning due diligence and manage zoning and entitlement applications.
• Draft and revise development agreements, providing detailed legal analysis.
• Prepare project narratives and evaluate statistical data for presentations.
• Deliver presentations to secure stakeholder buy-in, framing technical issues clearly.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and public-sector stakeholders.
• Represent clients at neighborhood meetings and public hearings.

Requirements

• JD; licensed to practice in Arizona.
• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Studies, Public Policy, Geography, Environmental Studies, Real Estate Development, or related field beneficial.
• Experience in land use or real estate preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Arizona
