Business Law, Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Group Associate Attorney

The candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in business law matters to work in the firm’s Detroit or Ann Arbor office locations as part of the Emerging Companies Group within the firm’s Business Practice Group; admission to the Michigan Bar and outstanding academic credentials are required. Should be comfortable acting in a broad outside general counsel capacity for emerging, high growth (mostly venture-backable) companies across a range of practice areas, including technology transactions, employment, and contract negotiation. Should have experience with investor and company-side venture financing transactions and a desire to build a book of business is preferred; experience in the areas of corporate formation, licensing, and venture financing required.
