Duties

• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Prepare for and attend hearings and other legal proceedings, including depositions.
• Attend mediations and negotiate settlements.
• Communicate with shareholders, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case handling.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in litigating insurance defense cases.
• Strong knowledge of insurance law.
• Strong research and writing skills.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
