Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and legal disputes.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
• Draft and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve legal matters efficiently.
• Advise clients on their legal rights, obligations, and options across multiple areas of law.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Stay informed of updates and changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
• Maintain meticulous records of case developments, legal documentation, and client communications.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in family law and a general understanding of other legal practice areas.
• Strong litigation experience, including courtroom representation and trial preparation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear and persuasive legal writing.
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive legal research.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Montana State Bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in family law, with additional familiarity in immigration, environmental, patent, and workers' compensation law.
• Strong courtroom presence and ability to effectively present cases.
• Outstanding drafting and legal writing skills for preparing motions, briefs, and contracts.
