Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in Raleigh, NC, to assist in representing businesses in areas such as Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, Equipment Leasing & Finance Litigation, Commercial Creditor Bankruptcy, and Creditors' Rights.

Duties

• Represent clients in commercial litigation and related legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements and manage courtroom proceedings.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies.
• Travel for court appearances as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in relevant practice areas.
• Experience in private litigation practice with business management understanding.
• 3 or more years of litigation experience in federal, state, and/or bankruptcy courts.
• NC Bar license in good standing.
• Strong legal analysis and writing skills.
• Proven courtroom and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Self-motivated with a desire to market their practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
