Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly experienced Litigation Of Counsel to join its Baltimore, MD office. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in product liability and complex commercial litigation, with a preference for experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. This role involves supervisory responsibilities, strategic case development, and direct client interaction.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients, legal teams, and third parties.
• Supervise and mentor associates in case management and legal strategy.
• Collaborate with experts and assist in fact development and deposition preparation.
• Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Assist in developing comprehensive case strategies.
• Maintain compliance with firm policies and practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Extensive background in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
• Previous involvement in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated business acumen and ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Exceptional organizational abilities with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Proven research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking capabilities.
• Ability to influence and persuade others effectively.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized institution.
• Additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology are beneficial.
• Admission to the Maryland State Bar is required; admission to the New York State Bar is preferred.
