Fall Internship
The intern will gain experience in a professional setting, participate in the legislative process, and experience democracy at work. Intern will gain a comprehensive understanding of the political process as well as practice practical skills that will help with preparation for future pursuits. Must be college students and recent graduates with a record of academic excellence and a strong interest in public service. Work closely with staff throughout the State to develop a thorough knowledge of local issues and constituent needs. Support office staff and answer constituent calls, conduct research, and monitor local news outlets for daily developments. State interns have the opportunity to attend events with Senator Carper, such as constituent events and town hall meetings.
