A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney for its Washington, DC office. The attorney will manage personal injury cases from intake through trial, operating autonomously within established litigation systems and standards.

Duties

• Manage personal injury cases from initial intake through resolution, including pre-litigation and litigation stages.
• Handle pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, negotiations, mediation, and trial.
• Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with clients.
• Exercise sound judgment and ownership over assigned matters.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams including case managers and administrative staff.
• Adhere to firm-wide litigation systems and processes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD).
• Licensed and in good standing in Washington, DC (required).
• Licensed in Maryland and/or Virginia preferred; willingness to obtain licensure if not already held.
• Experience handling personal injury matters.
• Strong advocacy, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently manage a full caseload from intake through trial.
• Professional maturity and results-driven mindset.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD).

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing in Washington, DC.
• Licensure in Maryland and/or Virginia preferred.

Skills

• Strong advocacy and writing skills.

• Ability to manage a full caseload independently.
