A law firm seeks an entry-level attorney to join its bankruptcy practice in downtown Honolulu, HI. This position offers an excellent opportunity for newly licensed attorneys in Hawaii to gain courtroom experience, engage with clients, and develop practical legal skills.

Duties

• Meet directly with clients to guide them through Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.
• Draft bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and routine pleadings.
• Appear at 341 meetings and standard hearings with training and support.
• Communicate with trustees, creditors, and clients.
• Learn the day-to-day operations of a consumer bankruptcy practice.

Requirements

• Newly licensed attorneys in Hawaii.
• Interest in bankruptcy law, even without prior experience.
• Strong communication skills, organization, and client focus.
• Desire for early responsibility beyond research or document review.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Hawaii.
