A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Austin, TX. This role involves working directly with partners on complex wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases. The position offers a unique opportunity to develop litigation skills in high-stakes commercial motor vehicle cases.

Duties

• Work directly with the partners.
• Conduct complex legal research and writing.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Strategize on challenging cases.
• Handle depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Serve as second chair at trial.
• Work on cases across multiple venues and jurisdictions.
• Focus on commercial motor vehicle litigation.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys.
• Support the firm in delivering exceptional client results.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Texas (or ability to obtain).
• 2 - 10 years of experience (Personal Injury preferred).
• Strong legal research and writing capabilities.
• Experience or interest in personal injury/tort litigation.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in legal documentation.
• Strong oral advocacy and communication skills.
• Ability to handle complex, high-pressure cases.
• Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
• In-office position in Austin, TX with potential for remote/hybrid work.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
