The ideal candidate will be adept at handling diverse litigation matters across federal and state courts, particularly in complex commercial litigation. Experience with the Department of Justice is advantageous. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to draft motions, manage discovery processes, and analyze intricate legal and factual issues. Additionally, the candidate will be able to lead and mentor junior associates, showcasing exceptional team management abilities.

Duties:

• Handle diverse litigation matters across federal and state courts, focusing on complex commercial litigation.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide legal counsel.
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues to provide sound legal advice and strategy.
• Lead and mentor junior associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and legal staff to ensure comprehensive client representation.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on complex commercial litigation.
• Experience with the Department of Justice is a plus.
• Strong research, writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Washington, DC, or eligible to waive into the D.C. Bar.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Washington, DC, Bar or eligibility to waive into the D.C. Bar.
