Duties:

• Advocate for clients in all stages of family law disputes, including divorce, custody, visitation, support, and property matters

• Prepare and file legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement agreements

• Handle court appearances, hearings, mediations, and trials effectively

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on evolving family law topics

• Maintain regular client communication to provide updates, guidance, and strategic advice

• Coordinate with legal assistants and case managers for streamlined case progression

• Contribute to maintaining high ethical and professional standards within the firm

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in California and good standing with the State Bar

• 2-7 years of hands-on litigation experience in family law or a closely related area

• Demonstrated ability to manage a busy caseload independently

• Proficient in oral advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom presentation

• Strong organizational habits and time-management skills to meet client and court deadlines

• High level of empathy, discretion, and communication in client relationships

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• California Bar admission required

• Additional mediation or family law certifications (preferred)

Skills:
