Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law office based in Denver, CO is currently expanding its legal team and is looking to onboard a litigation-focused associate with licensure in Utah. This position centers around representing institutional clients in a dynamic legal environment that includes workplace injury claims, general liability defense, and related proceedings. The role supports flexible work arrangements, including remote or hybrid setups, tailored to the successful candidate’s location and needs.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and case summaries for administrative and judicial forums

• Advocate for clients at mediations, hearings, and trials within workers' compensation matters

• Analyze legal and factual issues through in-depth research and provide guidance tailored to client objectives

• Prepare strategic litigation plans and evaluate risk throughout the case lifecycle

• Collaborate with stakeholders including insurance representatives, healthcare providers, and court personnel

• Participate in negotiation sessions and settlement discussions

• Maintain compliance with relevant rules and procedural standards

• Manage caseload efficiently, meeting all litigation deadlines in a fast-paced setting

• Support lead counsel through discovery, including depositions, medical reviews, and witness preparation

• Draft and respond to discovery requests, perform redactions, and manage evidence files

• Prepare written case updates and reports for clients

Requirements:

• Ability to independently manage high-volume caseloads

• Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid legal practice setting

• Demonstrated success in legal research and complex issue analysis

• Clear and professional communication with diverse professional audiences

• Experience handling sensitive and voluminous medical or evidentiary records

• Familiarity with relevant procedural codes and administrative law principles

• Willingness to learn and adapt within a collaborative legal team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution

Certifications:

• Active licensure in good standing with the Utah State Bar

• Admission to Colorado or Arizona is a plus

Skills:

• Exceptional written and oral communication abilities

• Proficiency with legal research platforms (e.g., Lexis, Westlaw)

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving orientation

• High attention to detail and organizational capabilities
