Duties

• Handle a diverse caseload under senior attorney supervision.
• Conduct thorough factual investigations of claims.
• Perform comprehensive legal research and draft legal memorandums, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare high-quality pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Represent clients in court and argue motions effectively.
• Assist in trial preparation, including witness and evidence organization.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to Missouri Bar; Kansas Bar admission preferred soon after hiring.
• 2-4+ years of experience practicing law post-bar admission; civil litigation experience preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Strategic and analytical thinking with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel, albeit infrequently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
