A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney specializing in trust and estate litigation in California. The successful candidate will lead cases from inception to trial, working with a dedicated team to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.

Duties

• Lead and manage a caseload from start to finish.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Make court appearances and conduct depositions.
• Develop and execute case strategies.
• Build strong client relationships and maintain professional diplomacy.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in trust and estate litigation.
• First- or second-chaired at least five trials.
• Prepared for and attended a minimum of 25 depositions.
• Proficient in the California Probate Code, Code of Civil Procedure, and Evidence Code.
• Ability to manage cases with minimal supervision.
• Tech-savvy and proficient in MS Office and Clio.
• Comfortable with meeting billable requirements.
• Strong team player.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills

• Excellent courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Strong persuasive writing and case strategy abilities.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
