A law firm in Grand Haven, MI, is seeking an experienced Finance Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in finance matters, a proven track record of leading transactions, and a comprehensive understanding of both lender and borrower-side work. This role requires high proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating credit agreements and related loan documents, solid business development capabilities, and a portable business book.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead finance-related transactions in a first-chair capacity.
• Provide expert legal advice on complex finance matters, including lender and borrower side work.
• Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements and related loan documents.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Contribute to the firm's business development efforts with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Maintain high responsiveness and attention to detail in all client interactions.

Requirements:

• 6-15 years of significant experience in finance matters.
• Demonstrated ability to lead transactions in a first chair capacity is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of lender and borrower side work, loan documentation, and due diligence.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating credit agreements and related loan documents.
• Portable book of business preferred.
• Proven business development capabilities and an entrepreneurial approach.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding customer/client service skills.
• Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.
