The successful candidate will work within a Chambers-ranked Privacy & Cybersecurity practice, providing strategic legal guidance to clients in the technology and life sciences sectors. This role involves advising on privacy implications related to product development, drafting compliance documentation, and offering general privacy-related counseling.

Advise clients on privacy considerations related to digital products and services
Draft and update privacy documentation including policies, procedures, and consent forms
Counsel on compliance with federal and state privacy laws
Provide guidance on consumer and health care privacy
Conduct privacy compliance assessments
Draft and negotiate privacy-related agreements (e.g., BAAs, DPAs, DUAs)
Advise on privacy and data security incident notifications
Support responses to data breaches and regulatory investigations
Participate in product counseling and address privacy implications of adtech (preferred)
4 to 7 years of relevant legal experience
Proven ability to work in complex and fast-paced environments
Admission to the State Bar
Strong academic background
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong professional references
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active bar membership, or eligibility to sit for the bar exam
Deep knowledge of U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including:
HIPAA, CMIA, Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370
GLBA, FCRA, COPPA, FTC Act
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
Familiarity with international privacy laws, including GDPR
Ability to analyze data flows and privacy implications in tech-driven environments
Competency in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing privacy-related legal documents
Strong legal research and compliance assessment skills
Adtech knowledge is a plus
