Analyze newly assigned case files and develop strategic plans, case budgets, and legal recommendations
Determine procedural requirements and coordinate assignments with legal support staff
Draft and respond to discovery, manage records, and oversee document production
Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and related discovery events, including detailed reporting
Negotiate claim settlements, obtain necessary approvals, and prepare cases for trial as required
Maintain clear and proactive communication with legal assistants and paralegals
Manage multiple matters with efficiency in a deadline-sensitive environment
Active license to practice law in North Carolina
1-5 years of experience in workers’ compensation law or relevant litigation practice
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and readiness to learn legal case management software
Proven record of professional accountability, reliability, and sound judgment
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to the North Carolina State Bar
