A law firm in Chicago is seeking an Environmental Law Associate Attorney. The candidate will engage in direct interaction with senior partners and clients, working on multiple matters simultaneously in a team-based environment. Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and exceptional work ethic are essential. The role requires excellent research and writing skills, as well as a desire to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative atmosphere.

Duties:

• Interact directly with senior partners and clients.
• Work on multiple matters simultaneously in a team-based setting.
• Provide counsel on regulatory compliance matters under federal environmental laws and state equivalents.
• Advise clients on government enforcement proceedings.
• Assist clients with environmental aspects of corporate transactions.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.

Requirements:

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active member of the Bar in good standing.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in regulatory compliance matters.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Prior law firm or government experience preferred.

Education and Certifications:

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active Bar membership in the jurisdiction.
