A law firm seeks a Business Law Attorney in Timonium, Maryland. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising business clients on various legal matters, supporting the firm's expanding client base, and contributing to business development efforts.

Duties

• Advise clients on entity formation, contracts, compliance, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate governance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Provide proactive legal strategies to minimize risks and foster growth.
• Represent clients in business disputes and collaborate with litigation teams.
• Stay current with changes in business and corporate law.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
• Contribute to business development by leveraging existing relationships or generating new opportunities.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Maryland Bar; other jurisdictions are a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in business, corporate, or transactional law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ideally, candidates bring a book of business or a track record of originating client matters.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Maryland Bar.
