Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Associate for their Corporate Investment Funds Regulatory Practice in Chicago, IL; Washington, D.C.; or New York, NY. The candidate will provide legal, regulatory, and compliance advice to investment advisers and financial institutions globally.

Duties

• Advise on the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
• Assist in private equity and hedge fund formation.
• Counsel clients in SEC examinations, investigations, and enforcement proceedings.
• Collaborate with the white collar litigation department on related matters.
• Advise on complex corporate transactions involving investment advisers and funds.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant asset management regulatory experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act and Investment Company Act.
• Experience with private equity and hedge fund formation preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of practice.
