Duties

• Advise clients on business transactions and legal rights.
• Represent clients in court and before government agencies.
• Develop strategies and arguments for case presentations.
• Gather evidence and interview clients and witnesses.
• Examine legal records to write opinions and identify complexities.
• Collaborate with colleagues on legal proceedings.
• Maintain client communication under supervision.
• Perform administrative and management tasks related to law practice.
• Supervise legal secretaries and paralegals as needed.

Requirements

• Member of the California State Bar.
• 2+ years of experience as a practicing attorney preferred.
• Experience in municipal law and all litigation phases is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage high caseloads and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability.
• Knowledge of local and Federal Rules of Court.
• Trial support and presentation experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
