This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in criminal law, trial advocacy, constitutional issues, and hands-on litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on criminal law, constitutional law, evidentiary issues, and procedural matters
• Draft legal memoranda, motions, briefs, and other court filings
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and case strategy
• Review discovery materials, police reports, body camera footage, and case records
• Organize case files and maintain litigation materials
• Observe court proceedings, hearings, and trials when available
• Support attorneys in protecting and advocating for clients’ rights at every stage of representation

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited law school
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Professionalism, discretion, and respect for client confidentiality
• Interest in criminal defense litigation and constitutional advocacy
• Westlaw/Lexis research experience preferred
