Job Overview: A law firm in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a Government Investigations and Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation, government investigations, and white-collar criminal defense matters. The ideal candidate will have expertise handling cases involving IRS, DOJ, EPA, and SEC enforcement, internal investigations, False Claims Act, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act defense.

  • Duties:

    • Represent clients in commercial litigation, government investigations, and white-collar criminal defense matters.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
    • Draft various legal documents, including interview memos, reports and recommendations, pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
    • Assist in conducting internal investigations and responding to government inquiries.
    • Collaborate with shareholders and senior attorneys on case management and strategy.
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation, government investigations, and white-collar criminal defense matters.
    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to the State Bar of Missouri or eligible for admission through reciprocity.
    • Strong research and writing skills.
    • High level of academic achievement.
    • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with cases involving IRS, DOJ, EPA, SEC enforcement, False Claims Act, or Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
    • Experience in conducting internal investigations and responding to government inquiries.
    • Familiarity with case management software and legal research databases.
  • Education and Certifications:

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to the State Bar of Missouri or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
