A law firm seeks a highly qualified Counsel to join its Affordable Housing and Community Development Practice Group in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multifamily and commercial real estate, representing developers, investors, property owners, and lenders in various development and financing matters.

Duties

• Represent clients in tax-exempt bond financing and low-income housing tax credits.
• Advise on agency financing programs, including FHA, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae.
• Handle HUD subsidy programs and related transactions.
• Independently manage real estate deals and client interactions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in real estate law at a nationally recognized firm.
• Admitted to the New York bar.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a client-team focused environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
