Job Overview

A law firm seeks a 3rd to 5th year associate to join the International Trade team within the International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice group in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have experience in Trade Litigation, including antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings, and will support Trade Policy practice before various government agencies.

Duties

• Engage in all facets of antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings.
• Handle judicial appeals of agency determinations.
• Support Trade Policy practice before government agencies.
• Maintain direct contact with clients on sophisticated matters.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Trade Litigation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of the relevant legal environment.
• Persuasive writing abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Preferred: quantitative capabilities, accounting and/or economics background, proficiency with Excel.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership and standing in the District of Columbia Bar.
