A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney in Rockville, MD. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in family law, including trial experience, and possess proficient knowledge of legal practice management software. Duties

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, adoption, estate planning, and domestic violence cases.
• Independently manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of all matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the legal process.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive client representation.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations, as well as firm policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of the Maryland state bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law, with a proven track record of handling complex cases.
• Demonstrated experience in trial preparation and courtroom representation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with mediation and arbitration processes.
• Bilingual a plus (Spanish).
• Active participation in professional associations and community organizations.
• Proficient knowledge of Clio and similar legal practice management software.
