Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, and orders for Juvenile & Domestic Relations and Circuit Court matters.
• Conduct legal research on Virginia family law statutes and case law.
• Assist with discovery, subpoenas, and evidence preparation.
• Support preparation of retirement-specific documents, such as QDROs and COAPs.
• Attend and argue hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences under supervision.
• Communicate with clients to gather case information and provide updates.
• Collaborate with paralegal staff on filing deadlines and court procedures.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school; recent graduates welcome.
• Active Virginia Bar admission or eligibility to sit for the next exam.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Interest in family law and a desire to build expertise in this area.
• Detail-oriented approach to court procedures and documentation.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required.

Certifications

• Virginia Bar admission required; DC and Maryland Bar a plus.
