A law firm seeks a licensed attorney with a minimum of 2 years' experience to join their team in Coral Springs, FL. The role involves providing legal services in immigration law, with opportunities for growth and a focus on work-life balance.

Duties

• Research, draft, and prepare filing packages for EOIR, USCIS, ICE, and BIA.
• Represent clients in telephonic hearings.
• Evaluate FOIAs and draft legal memos for partner review.
• Interact with administrative staff and provide legal research and analysis.
• Develop strategy for RFEs for partner review.
• Perform detailed legal research and propose alternative resolutions for immigration issues.
• If licensed in Florida, represent clients in uncontested dissolution of marriage hearings, temporary custody hearings, and annulment petitions in Circuit Court.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience in immigration law.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not necessary.
• Willingness to attend hearings out of state sporadically.
• Solution-oriented and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective writing and caseload management abilities.
• Skilled in legal research.
• Active BAR license.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
