A law firm in Oakland, CA, seeks an accomplished Renewable Energy Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their energy and natural resources strategic business unit. The ideal candidate will primarily collaborate with attorneys in this unit, possessing at least 5 years of experience, particularly in wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions. They should demonstrate proficiency in leading scopes of work within a team and overseeing junior attorneys. Exceptional academic credentials, a commitment to community engagement, and superior interpersonal skills are crucial. The candidate must possess an active Bar license or be willing to obtain one promptly.

Duties:

  • Work primarily with attorneys in the energy and natural resources strategic business unit.
  • Handle wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
  • Lead scopes of work within a team and manage junior attorneys.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice.
  • Participate in negotiations and due diligence processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in renewable energy real estate.
  • Experience with wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Active CA Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to community engagement and environmental sustainability.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active CA Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.

Skills:
