A law firm seeks a qualified attorney to join its Oil, Gas & Energy practice group in Fargo, ND. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy law, focusing on oil, gas, and energy sectors. This role involves advising clients on regulatory compliance, negotiating and drafting agreements, and representing clients in litigation and before regulatory bodies.

Duties

• Advise clients on regulatory compliance for oil and gas operations.
• Negotiate, review, and draft surface agreements and mineral leases.
• Represent clients in disputes over agreements and royalties.
• Conduct title work, including prosecuting dormant mineral actions.
• Assist in establishing mineral-related trusts and LLCs.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the North Dakota State Bar, or eligibility for admission.
• Experience in energy law, particularly in oil, gas, and energy sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the North Dakota State Bar, or eligibility for admission.
