Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling various aspects of litigation cases, including written discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings and motions, attending mediations and court appearances, and providing assistance at trial. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong academic background, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Duties:

• Manage all phases of litigation cases, from initial filings through trial and appeal
• Conduct written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
• Prepare witnesses for deposition and assist in conducting depositions
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Represent clients at mediations, hearings, and other court appearances
• Assist in trial preparation and provide support during trial proceedings
• Conduct legal research on relevant issues and provide analysis and recommendations to senior attorneys

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California State Bar
• 3-5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting
• Proficiency in legal research tools and databases
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct
