A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney specializing in Contested Foreclosure Litigation to join their team in West Palm Beach, FL. The role involves managing cases from initiation through trial, focusing on contested matters within the mortgage foreclosure sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Florida foreclosure law and demonstrate exceptional courtroom skills.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents with precision.
• Conduct depositions and manage discovery processes.
• Perform legal research and apply case law and statutes to client matters.
• Appear at hearings, trials, and conferences throughout Florida.
• Negotiate settlements and consent judgments on behalf of clients.
• Evaluate and communicate risk and strategic recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with client witnesses and loan processors for case resolution.
• Maintain accurate time records and provide monthly status updates.
• Communicate with opposing counsel, clients, and court staff.
• Travel statewide for hearings and trials as needed.

Requirements

• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure litigation.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing discovery processes.
• Strong knowledge of Florida foreclosure statutes and case law.
• Excellent verbal communication and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a substantial caseload independently.
• Willingness to travel statewide as required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Florida Bar.
