Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in Town and Country, MO is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Estate Planning Attorney to join their team. This role will involve advising clients on estate planning, managing probate matters, and drafting essential legal documents.

Duties:

• Lead initial consultations with clients to assess their estate planning needs and provide clear legal guidance.
• Draft and review a range of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Represent clients in probate court proceedings across various Missouri jurisdictions.
• Oversee and manage probate and trust administration cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Maintain regular client communication, providing monthly status updates and performing thorough reviews of client files.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to ensure comprehensive estate plans.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, particularly in estate planning and probate.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in estate planning.
• Familiarity with drafting estate planning documents and representing clients in probate proceedings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client files simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using legal software and learning new tools quickly.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri (additional licenses in Illinois, Kansas, or Florida are a plus).

Skills:

• Estate planning document preparation
• Probate and trust administration
• Litigation experience in trust and probate matters is desirable
• Knowledge of taxation as it relates to estate planning
• Ability to manage complex caseloads
• Strong client service and communication skills
