Duties

• Attend trials, arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and other court appearances.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, mediation briefs, and trial briefs.
• Settle and negotiate personal injury cases.
• Communicate with clients to understand their legal concerns and provide essential service.
• Accurately value and develop cases.
• Document files with notes and records.
• Provide clients with an accurate accounting of their settlements.
• Work well with legal assistants and manage a portfolio.
• Prosecute cases in a timely manner.
• Remain current on federal and state laws, regulations, and practices.

Requirements

• An active Illinois Bar License.
• 5+ years of experience in personal injury law.
• Minimum of 5 years as a licensed attorney in any jurisdiction.
• Ability to commute or relocate to Chicago, IL 60603.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Illinois Bar License.
