A law firm seeks a litigation attorney in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will manage an active litigation caseload and handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation. This role involves direct client interaction, evaluating liability and damages, and developing case strategies.

Duties

• Manage an active litigation caseload from assignment through resolution or trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation strategy.
• Provide timely reporting, analysis, and recommendations to clients and carriers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina; North Carolina licensure is a plus.
• At least two years of experience in insurance defense or civil litigation.
• Organized and dependable, with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Professional, responsive, and accountable in communications with clients, colleagues, and others.
• Committed to providing excellent client service through prompt communication and follow-through.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina; North Carolina licensure is a plus.
