Job Overview: A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with 8+ years of experience to participate in all aspects of the firm’s professional activities, including client intake, trial preparation, and case management. The ideal candidate will have significant courtroom experience and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.

Duties:

• Participate in the firm’s professional activities, including client intake, trial preparation, etc.
• Handle litigation matters from inception through trial with minimal supervision.
• Draft complex pleadings and motions and argue discovery and dispositive motions.
• Formulate and develop case strategy and advise clients on risk mitigation and pre-suit resolution options.
• Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses, and handle other details for comprehensive case management.
• Manage the discovery process and supervise junior attorneys and staff with document review projects.
• Mediation AAA and other arbitration experience are preferable.
• Perform complex legal research using tools such as Westlaw.
• Maintain a portable book of business with at least $200,000.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of litigation experience in state and federal courts.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• J.D. Degree.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of laws, rules, and state and federal court procedures.
• Significant courtroom experience.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis.
• Licensed to practice and in good standing in MA.
• A high degree of initiative, mature judgment, and discretion.
• Organization and time management skills.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• J.D. Degree.
• Licensed to practice in MA.
