A law firm seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney in Tampa, FL. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in complex litigation matters across diverse practice areas, including general and commercial litigation, trusts and estates, contract and business disputes, construction, and real estate litigation. The successful candidate will represent clients' interests through vigorous legal advocacy, strategic negotiation, and comprehensive case management.

Duties

• Manage all phases of litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and other tools to support case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
• Develop case strategies by analyzing facts, evidence, and applicable statutes.
• Communicate proactively with clients to provide updates and advise on legal options.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with current Florida bar admission.
• Proven experience in general litigation with a focus on commercial disputes.
• Demonstrated ability to handle court appearances confidently.
• Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis for statutory legal research and case law analysis.
• Experience drafting contracts, legal motions, pleadings, and conducting procedural law research.
• Familiarity with Caret Legal and NetDocuments (or similar) legal case management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Current Florida bar admission.
