A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorney in Leesburg, VA. This full-time role involves designing, drafting, and implementing estate and elder law plans, including strategizing Medicaid and VA benefits applications. The attorney will work closely with the managing partner to develop estate and asset protection strategies and oversee a team of paralegals and support staff.

Duties

• Design and implement estate and elder law plans.
• Strategize and prosecute Medicaid and VA benefits applications.
• Oversee paralegals and support staff in client services.
• Coordinate estate/trust administration and fiduciary services.
• Manage planning department operations to meet business goals.
• Supervise and train legal assistants.

Requirements

• Virginia State Bar admission.
• Maryland and District Bar admission, a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in estate planning and/or elder law.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
