Duties:

• Represent institutions facing civil liability in revived historical abuse claims

• Conduct in-depth factual investigations and legal analyses in high-profile matters

• Develop and implement strategic defense approaches tailored to complex litigation

• Manage discovery, draft pleadings, and participate in motion practice

• Participate in settlement negotiations and trial proceedings when required

• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and support teams on litigation strategies

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation or governmental legal practice

• Prior experience handling sensitive or high-stakes cases, including criminal or civil investigations

• Familiarity with institutional liability and tort-based legal frameworks

• Strong oral and written advocacy skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Active Bar membership in Maryland, or eligibility for admission by waiver
