Entry-Level Attorney needed for Grand Rapids office

A law firm is seeking an entry-level attorney to join its team in Grand Rapids, MI. The ideal candidate will work closely with experienced attorneys and paralegals to learn and grow within the firm.

Job Overview:

• Work alongside seasoned professionals to handle all aspects of Probate and Trust Administration.
• Managed own caseload and provided counsel to clients on estate planning matters.

Duties:

• Meet with families to explain the administration process.
• Prepare and review all legal documents required to settle an estate.
• Assist with the asset liquidation process.
• Handle follow-up phone calls with clients.
• Ensure the client’s wishes are fulfilled during the administration process.
• Counsel executors and beneficiaries on estate planning benefits.
• Lead educational seminars on Probate and Trust Administration.
• Ensure compliance with rules of professional conduct.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.
• Willingness to travel to satellite offices as needed.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan Bar.
