Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal to join our Raleigh office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic; exceptional time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent client communications and service; proficient technology skills, including, but not limited to, MS Office Suite, PDF, and general online research; and meticulous attention to detail with strong proofreading skills. The paralegal must be able to work independently, collaborating with team members as needed.

The role of the Labor and Employment Paralegal includes, but is not limited to, assisting the attorneys in the acceptance, organization, investigation and resolution of labor and employment matters; drafting court documents, correspondence, and memos; drafting discovery as well as complex pleadings, conferring with all parties involved; docketing; keeping schedules; maintaining files; monitoring progress; and following up to ensure all required actions are completed. The Labor and Employment Paralegal will also assist the Litigation Section as needed.
A minimum of two years' Labor and Employment and/or Litigation Paralegal experience preferred. A degree in Paralegal Technology is also preferred. Must have a NC Notary Public commission or the ability to obtain same.
We offer a generous $2500 sign-on/retention bonus for our Paralegals.
