Serve as a trusted legal advisor to lenders, financial service providers, and other commercial entities regarding financial transactions and debtor-creditor relations.
Draft, interpret, and negotiate a range of financial documents, including lending contracts, collateral agreements, and restructuring frameworks.
Advocate for creditor interests within bankruptcy courts and related judicial forums, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.
Analyze legal precedents, legislative updates, and regulatory shifts in finance and insolvency law to keep clients well-informed and compliant.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to devise strategic solutions for complex financial disputes and distressed asset situations.
Educational Background:
Juris Doctor (JD) from a recognized institution of legal education.
Licensure:
Licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana.
Professional Experience:
At least four (4) years of focused practice in banking law and creditor-side bankruptcy representation.
Knowledge Base:
Deep familiarity with national standards governing banking operations, financial structuring, and insolvency procedures.
Skill Set:
Exceptional drafting and negotiation capabilities for financial contracts and court filings.
Strong analytical and research aptitude, with a keen eye for emerging trends in financial legislation.
Effective communication abilities, both written and oral, suitable for client advisories and courtroom advocacy.
Self-driven, yet comfortable operating within a team-oriented environment.
An existing network or book of business is advantageous but not essential.
Prior experience working directly with banks, credit unions, or similar financial entities.
