Job Overview:
A respected litigation-focused law firm is seeking a full-time Civil Litigation Associate Attorney for its St. Louis, Missouri office. Location:

• St. Louis, Missouri

Duties:

• Collaborate closely with experienced litigation attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants

• Draft pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, and legal opinions

• Handle and attend depositions, mediations, conferences, and court appearances

• Prepare trial documents and support litigation teams in trial strategy and execution

• Manage a caseload involving a variety of civil litigation matters

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal recommendations

• Communicate with clients and stakeholders regarding case status and strategy

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation

• Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures

• Demonstrated ability to handle a full caseload and meet strict deadlines

• Ability to collaborate with internal legal teams and corporate clients

• Strong interest in trial work and litigation development

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Missouri (required)

• Eligibility to become licensed in Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska (preferred)

Skills:

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and large caseloads

• Proficient in drafting legal documents and preparing for trial
