Job Title: Entry-Level Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Port Charlotte, FL, is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Entry-Level Litigation Attorney to join its team. This is a fully remote position designed for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, virtual work environment. The ideal candidate will support the legal team by drafting legal documents, conducting research, managing case files, and assisting in various litigation matters, including contract disputes, real estate litigation, and construction issues.

Duties:

• Draft letters, memos, motions, orders, and pleadings.
• Assist the lead attorney in preparing for upcoming hearings.
• Manage case files, ensuring deadlines and case management tasks are met.
• Coordinate discovery efforts with legal support staff and paralegals.
• Conduct in-depth legal research on a range of topics related to active cases.

Requirements:

• Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
• 0-5 years of legal experience as an associate attorney.
• Strong academic performance, including top marks in legal research and writing.
• Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing with the bar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Outlook.
• Clio's experience is a plus.
• Ability to maintain a quiet, distraction-free home office with reliable internet access.
• Ability to thrive in a virtual, fast-paced work environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must have graduated in the top 25% of the law school class or have achieved cum laude status.

Certifications:

• Active and valid Bar license.

• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
